The Coleman's praise and/or bitch thread.

im looking at buying a bike from Coleman's,

Would you give them money? Would they shaft you up the A hole like red barron?

My current understanding is that all the good people (i.e., sarge and the guy who dose suspension) have left.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

You'll not get a valid opinion on KB mate, figured you'd know that by now.

I don't rate Colemans personally, but I actually get great service from Red Baron, so go figure...

They treat me real good.... sales guys (Allan), Parts guys (Dan), and the workshop ( Sue and Mike), even though I bought my GSXR at Haldanes. Absolutely no problem spending my money there....

Ive had pretty good service from Colemans over the years.
BUT I Personally prefer Haldanes --The service I get from them with suzuki's is fantastic

Can't read the first post RM is on my ignore list.

I'm guessing from the poll and the comments that he's had a bad experience there.

I went in with my wife and littlies to look for her next bike - guy was affable enough and even allowed the missus to take our 3 year old to the loos while I looked at bikes for my wife. Some shops force you to let the poor wee blighter piss his pants

Then let Chickadee sit upon a variety of Suzukis until she found one she liked.

I went in there as an obvious young fella and told him I was just looking but I was treated really well, talked to me for ages and even offered some test rides which I was really impressed by.

Better than AMPS where all I got was dirty looks... bastards

Your right. the good guys there, i.e Mark and Sarge have gone, the rest are not so good, but as Karma says, it really depends on who you speak to, I've had good service from Red Baron as well,

    good luck

I recently delt with Alaistar from Colemans (he's the owner), really easy chap to deal with, even sent a car to pick me up from the bus stop (as I had travelled from Taranaki to buy the bike).

Test rode the bike (shat pants), asked for paper work, paid cash & rode away with clean undies (for 5 mins)

But hey, were all humans, sometimes we have bad days...............and low n behold sometimes customers are assholes

Thumbs up for Colemans in my one off recent experience.

ps: If you see Alaistar tell him ive run out of nappysan

I used to cringe when I bough a suzuki cos I knew I would have to deal with colemans (suzuki distributor). That was only up until the start of this year. The new guy in parts has great customer service. No problems with them now.

Ive got nothing but good things to say about them, I had my 600 bandit serviced there when I couldnt be arsed doing it myself, brought the SV off them and its had all its services done there. Personally I have found them better than Haladanes (contradiction to what others have said in this thread) but I guess its who you deal with at the time.

In sales I have delt with Alaister, and one of there new salesman Esley. Dan has been great in parts, really seams to know his stuff, and the lady that runs the workshop (Sue is it?) has always been nice to me, even though I dont think you would want to piss her off to much.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Go to Haldanes or Colemans just to boycot Red Baron. They'll always seem to be the ones to bump up 250 prices just that little bit more than the other stores. Ideally you'd boycot those other dealers for following the Baron but that doesn't leave you with many options...

From my experiences both as a customer and as a supplier, there's no reason to not trust them. But I've since found that Carl @ Holeshot is a better salesperson to deal with, and Holeshot's parts staff are likewise better to deal with.
