    Hi KK and Nodman,

Sorry I haven't posted but I have been away at our Ulysses Rememberance Service weekend in Taupo. Rhino didn't go so as he wasn't feeling well so he has been filling me in on details about Kurt's accident via cellphone. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I said a prayer for you all at the service and for Bruce too.

I hope Kurt makes a full recovery, as you say he is tough nut and I am sure he will. I know Bruce will be looking down and looking after him.

I am glad the a-hole handed himself in and I really hope that there will be some justice and not just a slap-over the hand with a wet bus ticket.

By the way Happy Birthday Logan. Although I know you won't feel much like enjoying it.

Take care all of you at this stressful time.

    Thanks Scorpy and everybody else!!

More improvements last night, ALL limbs moving as hes fighting the restraints, He wont open his eyes for me (but think he did for KK earlier in the night) hopefully he will wake up fully in next day or two and make it out into a ward where everybody can see him

It is a special day today with it being anniversary of Bruces (old fart) death. Wont be able to ride to his spot today BUT I know hes still riding on my shoulder everyday.

Good to hear that Kurt is making slow improvements - every little helps along the way to recovery. We have been thinking about Bruce (Old Fart) today and are about to make a toast to him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am sure Bruce will be looking after Kurt too. God Bless.

Bloody hell - when I started reading this thread, the first thing I thought of was Bruce and you guys - you don't need this sort of shit again, Logan and Nod - hope everything turns out well - looks like things are on the up, thank god.

is it really 2 yrs since Bruce went down..............doesn't seem like it..........

yeah guys its all going pretty damn good! To be honest hes been making progress faster then anyone had expected. Still not too sure on how high to hold hopes on how everything pans out, so focusing on each day as it passes and its been all great so far.

Was just in seeing Kurt and got him to open his eyes again, and then got him to speak!!! He is hard to understand but after much encouragement he does speak a little more clearly and words can be made out.
The world according to Kurt so far is:
    Kurt, What day/Month is it?
    November
    Kurt, What year is it?
    2008
    Kurt, where are you?
The same place I was yesterday.

Hahaha hes still a crackup, might have rushed a little far forward in time but he got the last bit right.

Well over and out for now - have to go sleep. Cheers

Hey guys, so sorry to hear about the accident. I didn't spot it at first but I turned off at the Mobil intersection and saw all the cop cars etc right after the accident happened that night. I remember coming home and saying to my mrs that I hoped it wasn't a biker! I can't believe the makeup of people taking off after smashing someone off their bikes. I was bolled off my bike on triangle road just down from there the Sunday 2 days later! and the guy drove off up the road picked his family up and returned only to tell me I was speeding...not once asked me if I'm ok!

Good to see the police are pretty harsh on people who do leave the scene. My numb nuts was charged with careless driving causing injury which equates to approx $4000 fine and 6 months loss of license. Still doesn't compare to your brother's injuries or what could have happened to me if I didn't go over the car.

Be strong mate, your bro will need your strength and love. Let me know if I can help any way.

    Hey all!!!

Its only just passed 2 weeks since the accident, and kurts still charging on with more and more progress.

He has since gone from critical care to an intense neuro ward, and just yesterday been transferred to a more regular ward. (i dunno all their names etc sorry!)

We have seen him recover so far to the point were he can get out of bed by himself, and walk across the room. He can now talk alot more clearly. And his old memory is all there short of the ride of the accident.

Basically now its just a long recovery time in his traction device thingy to keep his neck stiff, and re-cordinating his left side some. Drags his left foot a little and isnt so keen to use left arm etc. But we all feel he will get there its just a time thing.

Well gotta run! Thanks heaps for all the support guys, ill print this out at some stage soon and take it into him in hospital.

    Regards.,

    Logs!
