    Getting off fines..

Long story short Im one of those people who get fines, generally speaking, I get pulled over for doing 65 in a 50, then get stung for everything.
Anyway about 2 months ago I tried to get all my shit legit.
    Warrant Rego yada yada yada..
Bike went to the mechanic to get the electrics sorted, as my brakelight was jammed and my lights werent quite right, anyway, got bike back on the friday, got new tyres fitted on the sunday morning, fitted new indicators as the current ones had broken lenses, all up this work cost me about a grand.
Good as gold, that same sunday I had my bike in a warrantable condition, went riding and intended to get warrant and rego the next day.
Anyways, this same sunday - I get pulled over metres from my fucking house for going a few k's over the 50kph limit, fair enough - I deserve it.
As luck would have it - the cops as asshole, I explain that ive just got my bike in a warrantable condition and I intend to get warrant and reg the next day - Did I mention both had expired ?
He's not interested and stings me with a 1000 dollar fine - on sunday night at 7pm - staring at my house.
The speeding, 200, No L plate - 400 - No warrant and rego 400 bucks altogether coming to 1 grand.
Heres where this story is going.
The very next day - I did get my warrant and rego just as intended, my question is - it is now 2 months later and I want to know - seeing as I can prove I got the warrant and reg the next day - can I get off the fines for these offences ?? I figure if I can I can also spin some shit about doing a trackday that week and taking my L plate off coupled with being on my Learners for 3 years and hopefully get off that fine too - saving myself 800 bucks. I'd like to hear from people with experience of getting off fines and I'd like some advice on who I need to write to, and wether or not its too late ?
    thanx
I feel a little cheated forking out 1grand to get my bike into legal state, then getting a 1 grand fine, then paying 300 bucks for a warrant and rego the next day anyway thanx in advance
Confident the aprilia rsv4, IS the one

$200 for the speeding is a bit more than "a few Ks" over the limit. You knew you had no rego or warrant, yet you still took the risk? Pay the fine and learn some common sense.

Also, 3 years on a learners is no recommendation. If you were capable of progressing then you would be on your full by now.

Dude, knowing a little about your appalling attitudes to road safety, I can only hope that they throw the book at you.

You flout laws, and thumb your nose at those who have to share the road with you.

And here you are again, seeking sympathy for your latest brainless fuck-up.

Hang on, I'll see if I can find my caring face...

All I can say is,"Thank God you're at the other end of the country."
Hopefully you'll be off the road by the time I get there.

I hardly ever get pulled over by the cops, perhaps you are fulfilling their quota, makes it cheaper for me as long as you are prepared to pay.

Thumbs down Better not be left out.

I'd better post so as not to be left out here in the 'red neck' south.
Your post, if true, makes me understand why the suits want to get bikes off THEIR roads. You not only give the rest of us a bad name, you give others ammunition! Pay your fines and shut up! Cheers -

    My heart bleeds...

Was busted today by Mr Plod (first time in 20 odd years... funny, last time was on a bike too hmmmm)

Coming back from an event in Taupo.

I don't speed (yes we all do 110k) but took the focus off the throttle for a little while and .... Mr Plod chased me for 2 k or so... here I was tootling along wondering what poor bastard he was chasing .

Now he obviously didn't pass me and I pulled over. No excuses no bullshit, thank you. (he was very nice and very different from the jack-booted traffic cop arseholes I used to deal with)

$120 fine (120KmH in 100 KmH zone) (=20 points whatever that means)... even HE was surprised that I was busted for speeding after checking my non-record.

Now a wee problem is explaining to Ms XGNR where the $120 went...

Sigh... Fantastic day tho'. 700km working out the pain bits for the GC

Best bet would be to say you had it booked in for a warrant the next day as shown by the fact it got a warrant next day. Dont be surprised if they don't accept it as its been a few months.

Ass said above, you knew it wasn't legal and were still riding it anyway. If you are willing to take the risk you should be will to face the consequences should anything happen.

From the cops side, I'm sure ever time they pull someone over with no warrant and rego its always "I'm getting it tomorrow". And I'm guessing yours would have been a fair way out having had a bit of work done?

If you are only a few days over ure warrant and you get pulled up, I think that you get a warrent you can apply to the police within 20 days and they will get ride of ure ticket. 2 months is 2 late.....plus with all that other shit they would just laugh at ure attempt.

Sounds like you earned ure tickets so just pay it and learn a lesson

    1. speeding... you've already said you were dumb... enough said
    2. No L plate... ummm? how hard is that? Its either on or it ain't. No crying for that mistake thanks
    3. warrant and reg... yes, you could have written in, provided proof, said you explained to cop you were doing the next day, etc. You took too long. Why have you waited this long?

If you say in your letter that you were out getting parts for the bike you might get off the no wof fine.
    As for the rest......boo hoo
