Is your bike on Waring-Taylor Street?

And if so, does it have a blue tarp attached to it?

The wind is really catching under the tarp and when I walked past I was a bit worried that if it got much stronger, it might end up getting pulled over (even tho the wind is blowing in the direction of the side stand).

Just a heads up in case you didn't realise how strong the wind is out there today.

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way

Stuff like that does actually happen. A workmate of mine had his scooter parked up with a cover on it and a mini tornado whipped through and knocked it right over. The cover acted as a sail and really picked the scooter up and threw it.

Pays to be careful where you park when you use a cover.

Using a cover in wind is a guaranteed method to damage paint work. What is the point of a cover - there is no cover on the bike when ridden.
    Here for the ride.

Yep, happened to my bike even tho it was parked up next to the side of my house, parallel to the direction of the wind. It caught the covering and i could hear the smash from inside. Doing something that was meant to protect the bike ended up costing me $400
Incidentally it happened on the same day a few weeks ago where the wind and rain flooded northland and closed the auck harbour bridge to bikers.

So many bikes down today, felled by the wind. I counted FOUR proper bikes (two with covers, a nice late-model CB and an old BMW without covers) and more scooters than that. I lost count. Maybe 6 or 7 scooters down? I was fine, I must have missed the worst of it though.
