Sunday 19th August - Where did you ride today?

A good ride today out of Rimutex at 10.50: Jim2 and Bull in company.

Met quite few KB'ers at Toppies in Martinborough and Stevedee and Johnnie [red Ducati] arrived.

On leaving Martinborough for Carterton met up with Karmakillernz. Stevedee, Johnnie, Karmakillernz, Bull, and I rode to Carterton. Meanwhile Mrs Hitcher and Jim2 swapped bike and the rest of the crew headed south Lake Ferry way.

On leaving Wild Oates at Carterton, Chanceyy and her group were just arriving on there ride. Quick helloes and we were on our way.

On way back did small loop out of Greytown and back around to Martinborough /Featherston tee - intersection then onto Featherston and back over the Rimutaka Hill.

Good ride and weather. Whoops forgot to take a few pics.

    Heads Up and Enjoy

I rode to the gym then to McD's. The bike ran out of gas so I pushed it most of the way home until I got to the gas station.... Lesson I learned today? McDonalds really IS bad cold!

What about filling it when it goes on reserve or is the tap buggered?

If you'd pushed the bike to McD's and back then you wouldn't have needed to go to the gym.
    Cheers

It was a real who's who of motorcyclists at the Fush this morning. We went to Ngawi and home via East West. Spankingly good fun. I'm still grinning.

Sadly was only around town but it's been nearly 3 months since I last rode the Vmax so it was enough.

Rang GiJoe1313 to see if he wanted to go for a short run, but he said I was a lazy bastard for sleeping in -- he had already been for a ride this morning, and he had a wedding to go to in the afternoon!

Got out to Piha to properly test the new front suspension, and give the engine a good wind-up. Plenty of slow cars, which was a pity as I don't really have the horsepower to blat past them on the short straights. Still, a great run. Also had a quick run down part of Lone Kauri Rd on the way back, but had to turn back as I realised I was running out of time and fuel (a great disappointment! Have to come back and finish it off some time).

Lovely day, except Piha was slightly bleak as you can see in the photo. Harleys and miscellaneous other cruisers waved at me all day, but the GSXR crowd broke my heart. I'm a sensitive child.

I've been feeling shithouse with a blocked up head and sore throat for days, and today was the perfect remedy. Thank-you JesusBuddha for inventing motorcycles.

Started a ride up north, but came across rider and pillion down on the northern mway. Both alive, but injured. Left when the ambulance arrived and turned around and headed straight home.

    Sobering.

I went up to whangarei and back on my nice new glacier blue beemer.
Saw heaps of patched up gang members on HDs, i didnt bother waving as i dont think they would wave back.
Nice ride though once the roads had dried out, and there wasnt many cops around either.

Rode from Auckland to Kaiaua with 2 other riders. Not much traffic. Sunny weather but windy.
