The glasses-on-head thing happens regularly in our family (for those who need them to 'read' only, as opposed to needing them always). I seldom lose anything, so when I do, it's panic stations all over. Worst arguments I've had are when I'm in the middle of a 'where the hell are my keys' rant, and someone tells me to 'chill out, they'll turn up'. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
