Sshh: My special blonde moment ....

After hard day at office and study, it was time to ride home.

Standing beside bike while it was warming up, needed to gain access to under the locked seat.

Remove key collection from right pocket but only find house keys, very strange must've put in other pocket.
Remove key collection from left pocket only to find the usual suspects, work and university keys, MMmm.
Look around my feet and inside helmet, no bike keys
Walk over to right side of bike and check if it's over there on the ground because disk lock had just been removed, MMmm, still no bike keys

Well before I start double checking or panicking, there's only one other logical place I haven't checked and that was the ignition. And there it was With the idiot green dash light shining brightly away (indicates bike's in neutral) yelling told you so, and the now very audible purr of its single cylinder engine.

So, that was my special blonde moment yesterday evening at 7:05pm in car park outside work.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

    Blah

    oh well done.

    ive done worse.
the morning of a big 45 bike HW22 ride a while ago. I was running around the house screaming where the fuck are my keys I checked every pocket.
I was getting late so I grabbed my backup keys and off I went.
bought a moro bar from the BP for breakie. when it was time to leave, I got on my bike and put my hand in my 'keys pocket' to find not only the keys that I lost but my emergency keys.

Spent half a day looking for my sunglasses. Walked by the hallway mirror and had a glance in it and saw them on my head.

The glasses-on-head thing happens regularly in our family (for those who need them to 'read' only, as opposed to needing them always). I seldom lose anything, so when I do, it's panic stations all over. Worst arguments I've had are when I'm in the middle of a 'where the hell are my keys' rant, and someone tells me to 'chill out, they'll turn up'. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oke:

    here is a recent one:
Just bought a new tank bag at lunch (colemans $60) went home and got the cam and put it in. worked a treat. did my thing on the way back, nearly had it come out 4 or so times but survived it. got to work and was gonna show the boss (usr: hondaboy I think) and found out I recorded 15minutes of max zoom (990x)

    sigh

    next time

We saw a brand new BMW with keys in it and all the lights on at late saterday night inner city sydney.

Couldn't help but take the keys out and give them to the shop where it was parked outside, that wouldn't have lasted long otherwise.

Man I used to leave my keys in my old CBR250 all the time when it was parked at Uni. I'd come back at 6pm at night after it had been there since 8am, and there they were, sitting in the ignition still. Ok, not all the time, it may not have survived that, but I did it about 4 or 5 times. I was busy and stressed, ok...*sob*
