    Another TradeMe crook

Did a search & couldn't find a thread where this was mentioned... apologies though if it has.

Hayabusa 4sale on TradeMe that is a total scam & seller has said they would take $2,800 for it... see bidder mattbyates1's comments taking the piss.

Someday we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Saw it the other day. couldn't be bothered its so obviously a scam.

I hope matt gets it. Maybe we should bid half a million dollars on it...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

It's up to $50,000. I'm very tempted to bid a couple of mill.

I would love to organise a public flogging for these gits... I have been lucky to have had all good experiences on trade me but its just a matter of time before one of these idiots gets genuinely clever and starts screwing people [me] out of their hard earned cash...

    I like these points:
    • It's got 10 unanswered questions
    • It's a blue bike in the pix, but described as silver
    • It has a "Salvage" (a US term) title, yet it's described as basically mint.
You'd have to be a retard or just very, very greedy to take this seriously.
    ... and that's what I think.

Yeah, me too, EXCEPT for the stupid feedback thing.
What's it for? For giving people an idea of how a trader performs as a trader, right?
But if you're honest in your feedback (instead of saying "Excellent Trader! AAAAAAA++++++!!! Would give my right testicle to this person, and sacrifice my firstborn if they asked me to"), and note if they didn't perform, they get really septic and give you bad feedback as a punishment.
    Example:
I bought my wife a leather suit. Before I bought it, I tried in vain to get them to tell me what size it was (they ignored the questions and email). So, I took a risk and bid on it anyway, as we needed the suit in a hurry. Then I emailed the seller, gave them my delivery details, and waited a couple of days for their bank A/C details. When I got these, I deposited the money immediately, emailed them to say the money was in the bank, and waited several more days for them to say, "We got the money"
    Well, duh!
Then they asked me what my address was (I'd emailed them a week before with the details).
The suit turned up about 3 or 4 days later (10 days after the auction closed). They charged me $28 (IIRC; might have been $24) which I assumed was because it was overnight, sign on receipt, courier delivery. The courier ticket said $10.95!
So, by now, I was rather pissed off. But I waited a few days to cool off, and thought carefully about what I would post.
I'm basically an honest person, so I was honest in my feedback. I gave them a negative, because as a trader, they sucked. I said they were slow to communicate, overcharged me on freight, and didn't answer their email. (Plus they stuck me on their friend's email list, so I kept getting crap joke emails from them).
They got really shitty, and posted bad feedback about me. WHY?
What did I do wrong? I communicated promptly and clearly, paid them immediately, and did everything right. Apart from telling the truth.

Same thing happened to my son. He bought a disk drive on TradeMe, and it turned out to be much scruffier then he thought, as the picture was of a brand new drive (but not labelled as such). So he said as much in the feedback, and the seller basically blackmailed him into changing his feedback. Wanker.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

I wonder if he's been reported as potentially dodgy. It's easy to do and TM do tend to check them out if enough people show they're suspicious.
It's a hard road boy.......so try not to land on it.

Is it possible to report that sort of thing to our fine lads in blue?

I have posted them a complaint. I am sure others have as well. Why do they let these stupid scams run. It is not hard to monitor listing. Put some one on the job and pay em. This shit is just stupid.......
