    636 vs CBR600 vs GSXR600

I have test ridden a half dozen bikes today and its down to
    Honda CBR600 (03)
    Kawasaki 636
    GSXR600 (06 new)

    here is my list
GSXR Pro's: its cool, its new
GSXR Con's: its 6k more than I planned on spending

636 Pro's: its fun to ride, looks good, common.
    636 Con's: not a cbr600, havent found one.

CBR 600 Pro's: its really fun to ride, It is affordable
    CBR 600 Con's:

I didnt ride an r6 couldnt find one

Help me make my P&C's list bigger pls!

(the v twins were completely boring to ride)

at the moment, on the cards are
    VTR1000 (post 2001)
    ZX636RQ
    CBR600
    SV650
and I only just saw, I think it was a ZX650F (sprots tourer)

I figure CBR and 636 are out because I'm thinking comfort (mine and pillion), I want to be able to go down on long rides on occasion, but on the other hand, she handles sitting on the back of a 250 pretty good and I took the CBR250 to wellington and back without hassle.

also I commute 20k a day so it needs to be able to sit in traffic ok.

I'm looking around 10k with a bit of leniency if its a good deal

anything I've missed that I just 'have' to test ride?

oh and I got my full of course, yay me
I only posted this because of the global economic crisis

    Don't forget the GSXR750.

You may find a good second hand one.

The 636 is the fastest of them all.

The 03/04 636 is the best track bike of them all and feels the most brutal - you will need to ride them all to understand what I mean.

The 05/06 636 is the best all rounder.

After having ridden all of them I pick the 636.

All have a very similar seating position. The 05/06 636 and 06 onwards GSXR600's are the more comfortable.

Don't forget the Triump 675, it has a really cool dashboard and overall handling. Boring power delivery and no storage space.

The 03/04 GSXR600 has the best storage space.

    R6 really feels well built.

Unfortunately you can only choose these bikes on looks the rest of their qualities are rather similar.

GSXR 600 new, or CBR600rr New or ZX6r new - since you are reviewing one bike in the 'new' budget range!
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

+1. There have been a few good buys of K6-K7 GSX-R750s lately. Exactly the same physical size as the six hundy, with a bit more mumbo. Very easy to ride, and a whole heap of fun. Didn't Limbimtimwim's one go for a reasonable price?

The Honda is will be the best build quality & resale, but the ZX 636 can come in Green and has those nice wavey disc thingies, and has the lap timer bling, and comes with the image you get but you can't buy.
Any votes other than the 636 will go up in smoke.
