Expensive but awesome! They are also the only pair with a zip that I can do up. I'm about to go try them out on the road.

I don't have my heart set on it but was thinking back route to Masterton, then maybe Taka's and so forth, could be decided at the stop in Masterton.

Yeah, I could have my arm twisted. I'll just need some notice to give me time to get my boots on. After yesterdays struggle, I was almost ready for a nana nap.

Well we are easy with where ever you wish to go as long as we try to avoid the rain. When do you want to leave and where do you want to meet up?

    3 days of awesome riding

well the plans had been set a month ago .. arrangements made for the horses & hopefully if everything pans out this could be the last "longish" ride on Betsy.

On friday packed the bike & off to Dannivegas were Sugi & I went out for a wee play on one of my favorite roads in the area. Sugi's bike was misbehaving a wee bit (at least Betsy was behaving at that point - more about that later) but oh well if need be can always pillion Sugi home if she packs it in .. so off we venture ..

on the way back & Sugi's bike finally blew her self free of wot ever was hindering her "good performance" so it was time to swap bikes so Betsy could recieve some "Sugi on the road tuning" kinda care .. met back up at the corner & it was obvious Betsy had worked her two stroke magic as sugi was grinning ear to ear. he said well she should run better now .. she sure does .. ahh magic so we quickly parted ways & I shot out to Sarges for a coffee (thanks John) and a plan was hatched re attending "the BBQ" race back to Sugi's in & outta the shower in record time & off with Moe Awhi to met Sarge at the corner for the taxi service to 86's place

a good nite with the usual suspects & back home in to bed about 1.30 am, with a early start in the morning

sat morn was a beaut day, but a phone call to mstrs warned the weather was pretty shitty in Napier, & since Sugi decided to come along wet weathers were packed, Betsy was all raring to go, but alas Sugi's bike just wanted to stay home ... a few swear words later & the plan was for me to ride ahead (no probs that I would not be caught up ) & sure enough coming into danniverke the green beast was tucked in behind me.

quick trip out to highway 50 .. had a few wee spits around Norsewood & wet weathers went on at the intersection where dooly was waiting .. actually it was a pretty good ride to napier all things considered .. its been nearly a yr since i have ridden in the wet so needed to get the feel again.

Arrived at Janet & Johns after a good cuppa & as the weather had cleared, (as requested we brought it with us). Sugi & I had to do a quick flick into Hastings & made it back out to say hi to the aucks crew that had arrived in our abscence.

A plan was hatched for a wee afternoon pootle & that was just damn great roads & highly enjoyable

a splendid evening talking the serious stuff, absolute crap & everything in between suited up to ride back to sugi's about 1am.

Now this is where it got interesting & Betsy decided to have a wee moment so Sugi ended up being my "guiding light" back to his place .. it was a somewhat of a "special" ride and we rocked in to his place at 3.33am this morning and admittedly it really was quite fun, its the stuff memories are made of. Thank you so much Anthony for the weekend & certainly taking care of me coming home, I really appreciated it & you are one of those guys I am proud to call a true friend. pass on my thanks to Moe Awhi as well & we will catch up again soon

So no rush to head off today & a great wee pootle home dodging traffic but I have so enjoyed just being on the bike & having fun .. isn't life grand
Have to Karma ... Justice catches up eventually !!

No worries on being the 'Guiding Light' It sounded as if a angry mosquito was on my tail at times! I've also never hugged the centre line for 150 km's before It was esp strange as I'd been doing my best to keep away from the centre line all day up to that point

Moe-Awhi thanks you for the chocolate and hot date too!!!! (we won't mention cake )
