Sunday 19th August - Where did you ride today?

Went from Central Auckland to Bombay and out to Waitakere, Tried to help a couple ladies on the way who ran out of gas on a bike the same as mine +19 years, Tried to pull off my fuel hose to empty some gas into a bottle not realising the fuel tap operates on some sort of vacuum valve so I couldn't get any gas out of it, Took one of the ladies up to the gas station but they didn't have any containers, so took her back to her bike and it miraculously started again for long enough to take her back up to the gas station to refuel, Wished them luck and made my way. Was a great day, blue skies & some serious throttle action.

Started a ride up north, but came across rider and pillion down on the northern mway. Both alive, but injured. Left when the ambulance arrived and turned around and headed straight home.

Sobering.

Rode to this accident on the works bike, Glad to see rider and passenger OK, witnesses confirmed what others say, attended couple more accidents then went and saw son recovering in Critical Care, finally got on my own bike to lax out and enjoy blacktop other than the motorway, cant tell you where!
