Yeehaa, 1st decent fang...
Well after polishing the new bike for the last few weeks (04r6) & it blocking the view of the Telly due to it being in the centre of the lounge, the frosts have kept away long enough so they've stopped gritting the roads round here .Yesterday dawned clear & calm so it was on with the gear & off to St.Arnaud to scrub in the new tyres (pilot powers) & get in a few k's on her before heading to the track day next weekend @ Ruapuna.I also wanted to try out my new Bel RX65 radar detector but for once I couldnt find a cop when I needed one! Man what a step up from the Bros!! This baby hauls ass!!Ive always dreamed of having a road bike that'd powerstand,& she'll do that quite nicely in 1st & 2nd, & she'll get thru the corners thru Kawatiri quite comfortably @ 160...(yeah, yeah I know, but hey sometimes you just cant help yourself). Think the corner & she does it,very confidence inspiring. And tight!!, no buckin'& wobblin @ speed like the Bros(which has been sorted suspension wise) A a click here , a tweak there got the R6 nicely dialled in.Surprised myself in St. Arnaud to find that I was out to the edges of the tyres & maybe @ the track I'll get my knee down for the 1st time... Speaking of which, will any of you mainlanders be @ Ruapuna next w\end?(2nd sept) If so come & say hi, Im on the red\black r6 & my mate'll be there on his duct tape special vfr750, we'll be in the B grade...I'll let you know how we get on
The Heart is the drum keeping time for everyone....
