Isn't just suzuki that are dragging the chain on importing parts. I had similar experiences getting honda parts too.

Another reason to have only 3rd party insurance. The yearly premiums on a GSXR1100 or similar would buy you another one in 3-5 years.

Sounds like the shop is the prob.
A lot of M/C parts people are busy people on low pay so the service can suffer.
The bike shops obviously don't think parts is important to their business.

You make sure you tell the shop what you think of their service.
I can imagine there will be plenty of "stories' of why you had to wait..

    Cheers

I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

Yep i got that too , bike is made in the states but they decided to order the parts from japan. When this was pointed this out they said the bike is made in the U.S A. but the parts come from japan to make them.

    Their

have been plenty of stories. I rang AMI and told them I was not happy. They started some investigation and got the ball rolling. They were going to patch it up for me so I could go on a rally last weekend but they had had it so long the WOF had expired and not quite warrantable. Fingers crossed for this week!
