    RiotWheel

Holy spit! Look at this monster! I don't think it's going to beat even your humble 50cc scooter, but by god it looks cool.
The most amazing thing is that the rider sticks out way in front, it's counterweighted inside.

    http://www.theriotwheel.com/MonsterNation.html
"This chunky 1100-pound machine is Jake Lyall's RIOT (Re-Invention Of The) wheel. Lyall's monowheel is unusual because it does not use the rider's weight to provide the reaction to the engine's thrust on the wheel. Instead the rider is outside, and the reaction is given by a lead-weighted Honda 80cc 4-stroke scooter engine suspended from a central shaft, driving through a sprocket attached to the wheel spokes. A separate 450-pound counterweight keeps the rider hovering above the ground at the front. Steering is done partly by precessing a 65-pound gyroscope to give yaw, and partly by the rider shifting his weight."

Oooookay, lets see that ripping up the coro loop then.

Ha, it's pretty cool though, would have to have a good imagination to come up with something like that.

Something is not right, how come the thing is level when he is standing next to it and also sitting on it???

He also looks to be standing in front of something in the first pic and is hidden behind in the second.

Edit: Yes I was right about the first photo, he must have something back there to keep the front down for the photo, see the other pics on the link above and without him on it it rocks back.

An 1100 pound (500 kilo) wheel with 80 cc to move it won't be too inspirational
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Changing a flaty would be a bitch.
