    Owieee.

I reckon there'll always be people obsessed with balancing car engines on two wheels and calling the result a motorcycle, but the resultant monstrosities just don't do anything for me.

I know nothing about the bike - but I'd say the motor was out of a Lincoln Zephyr,a late 30s car from Ford.Using what they had learned from the sidevalve V8 they applied to making a V12...it looks very Fordish,so I think that's what the motor is - I saw one in the flesh 30yrs ago,I could be wrong.Anyway, those motors are very rare, they gave trouble and often a SV V8 was put in instead.

Just going through some of my old books I have some data on the Lincoln Zephyr V12 (yes that what it is,I've got pictures of it in front of me) - 267.3 cu in,with bore and stroke of 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 and 110hp @ 3900rpm.Interesting,for the late 30s we have the valves set to zero clearance, not bad engineering from Ford eh?

Agreed... having never ridden anything coming CLOSE to that, I expect the lack (i.e. total absence) of being nimble would really be a bummer.

I love the ability to corner fast, throw the bike around a bit and just have some fun on it. I think there must be a lot of fun in Trials bikes for that very reason, although I do like the creature comforts of the RF...
