    Laid-up theft insurance

Do any kiwi insurers provide insurance on a theft only basis? Basically I want to insure against some git stealing them when they're in my garage or parked up near a racetrack.

Come to think of it I don't think the lawnmower and trailer are covered by the house insurance either.

Sure do... or at least should do. I had a limited (Fire and theft) cover policy with AMI for a VFR400 which couldnt be insured fully (outside my then license conditions). This meant it was ensured for the aforementioned as long as it was in the garage.

The trailer probably wouldn't be, but our lawnmower is covered by our home contents insurance - check to see what is covered by yours. Ours covers outdoor furniture and quite a few things like that.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

PM JetBoy he offered to do this for me a while ago.
Life is difficult because it is non-linear.
