Chequered Flag Cafe and Bar. (Motorcycle Mecca)

Not wanting to "repost" or anything as sinister as that but I thought this worth passing on to, or reminding, our KB family and friends!

That a new roadside, Cafe and Bar, established specifically with motorcyclists in mind (but not exclusively) is now operating on State Highway One.

Located between Ashburton and Timaru at the main junction to Geraldine and the MacKenzie basin!

Great location! You really have to pass within a few kilometers, travelling any South Island Eastern route! "North or South" past this point!

Apparently this is a first for New Zealand, so if you are passing, or wanting somewhere to ride to, check this one out.

Yes, there is plenty of room to camp out back but they are still developing that part of the facility. See you there then.

Heya John, once I get a set of wheels am sure to go down that way...ya never know may get down there before xmas....How is Mrs O? Hope your ride back from ashvegas was real good last week

After looking at their site I recognize it as a place I have gone to in a cage, and can recommend the food there and also the cold stuff....worth a visit!
