    I still think that - to me getting up on monday morning stiff and sore is immensly satisfying,means I was working hard and took some good spills that did no damage.And yes,the low speed smacks into trees and rocks hurt bad,ankles,shins and hands - of course if I was a better rider it wouldn't happen eh?

    I was telling myself you dont get better without pushing it, hence the bins. Its
    ironic, but works. I just wont be applying the same theory on the road. I dont mind falling off, its the car behind me running over me thats the issue.

    I've had some pretty nasty injuries, but none as bad as what I should have had, given the circumstances of most of my bins.

    My legs look like they've got more scarring than real skin, especialy my hips and knees.

    Both my feet are rooted and will need some surgery to immobilise the joints back from the toes in the next couple of years.

    Reduced mobility in my right wrist due to two breaks and a broken/pinned scaphoid.

    I go to the chiropractor every 2 weeks for my back and neck which gets a bit stiff and sore from the bike helmet (and years of riding triathlon bikes) about 35 visits so far and I think we're making progress.
    Havn't broken anything yet.
    Havn't fallen off in the dirt yet.
    Fallen off on the road 3 times now over 20 years.
    1st time was a slick tar highside on a QT50 scooter - no damage.
    2nd Up the back of a van at 30kph on an SR185 - sprained wrist.
    3rd was the Nordwest getting hit from behind while waiting at the lights - Bike written off and I had a sore little finger.

    I'll probably be able to at least double the count this weekend at the North v South though at least all the traffic will be going in the same direction

    BTW. The barter system is great
    I get free warrants etc for my bikes (3) and the chiropractor is free as well.
    You just need to know more about computers than they do

    My one and only, was on the Nor Western M/Way
    Got right in the middle of a 6 car pile up.
    Head butted the median barrior at 100kmh
    Slammed and dragged by the crashing cars.
    Injuries;
    Left leg snapped at the hip joint and at the knee
    Lower left leg fractured in 5 places, but not broken
    Left ankle pointing the wrong way [ backwards]
    Right leg fractured in 3 places, but not broken.
    And one 'nad like a grapefruit, and the other around the size of a small orange.
    2 years later and some bone fragments came adrift in my wrist and had to be removed
    But no skin lost as I always ride with full gear.
    Outcome;
    6 x screws, 1 x rod
    4 months no walking
    Possibility no kids
    Half a buttock missing
    gammy leg/ wrist
    3 years pain, phisio [ more pain]
    And a healthy fear of ever binning again

    My first crash was quite funny. Just finished passing a van @ 160+ probaly gave them the sh*ts, hit next left hander engine siezed, highsided at about 140ish, ended up in the ditch. Next minute the same van drives past laughing and waving.
