, watch out for the wild Dairy farmers who roam the plains.
What is this Windboy, hardening up before you meet those southern men?
Book me Accomodation Sir, preferably comfortable!
Iain
Yep camp ground is close enough that if you have too many beers you would almost be able to walk it!
I have every intention of being there if I can. The bike will be run in and all the mods except the tank and suspension should be done. However I have a business trip to Oz coming up which may interfere. I doubt it - I should be able to plan around the weekend away, but I will hold off booking until I know for sure.
I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.
Anyone else keen on camping? (BYO tent please)
Triboy, I hope you don't feel like I'm trying to hijack your accomodation...![]()
Windboy.

No worries.Keep an eye on the forecast though, and if it looks like camping will be a bitch, (high winds etc), let us know and things can be tweaked.
I am confirmed at the Awakino, you will look after me (so to speak!) at Raglan?
Thats OK Bass, we just won't go on any sealed bits then....... as a side line, I assume you will be traveling south at the same time as any other Jafa's so how about arranging a meeting point and we all make our way in a nice orderly procession?
Brent, am I supposed to have booked accomodation at Awakino or have you done that for me?
As you can see I am really on top of this getting organised thing!

If you call the Awakino Hotel, and pencil yourself in, (mention the ride), all will be sweet.
I'll do a final "role call" at the end of next week, so numbers are confirmed for the apartments in Raglan. There should be room to squeeze in any extra people, but will need to know by Tues 20/11. I'm arranging a few cartons to be at the Raglan digs for wetting the whistle prior to going into town/dinner.
Any prefered brands? I'm a Tui man myself, so that will be in the fridge.
I'm hoping to locate a big fat wahine to keep windboy warm at night if he plans to camp in Raglan. If not, theres always that stray sheep around the back road.![]()
Rodger that.
With regards to teaming up. Could I leave the nthern crew to sort their preferred route to Awakino?
At this stage we have one from Whakatane, and one from Welly, so I might meet any Sthern based guys at Owhango,(nth of National Park), and cruise to Awakino via Ohura-Waitanga-Kotare, and up the coast into Awakino.
Browse the maps I posted, and put forward any ideas.
If there are any road seal conditions, (sealed/unsealed), I'll do my best to alleviate doubt.![]()
