From the looks of the rain chart, its moving quickly, so expect only medium/light showers on and off through Fri.
Can't see any signs of a stalled front, so alls good. (Will also prevent dust on the roads. Following bikes with hanging dust clouds is a pain).
Final plans for Auckland ride down.....
Bass and I are leaving Papakura at 8.00am ish Friday and wobbling our way via the west coast to Raglan, Kawhia and Awakino over the day. Detailed route plans have been made which we will change at whim enroute.
If we're not there by 6pm we are definately lost!
Anyone wanting to join in PM me with a contact number.
Iain
I hope to be at Awakino by 6.30 - 7.00 on Friday
All good at this end. bvaut and Ian S and myself are good for Owhango Fri.
Tui, Speights and nibbles have been procured for the Raglan digs
3 copies of maps have been scanned, and now I just need a basic 1st aid kit, and the usual comprehensive Triumph tool kit
Weather is looking good, so camera's and sunblock also.
Late starters are more than welcome. PM me by Thrs night.
eta at Awakino Fri, approx 5.30ish.
I noticed through the week that the fuel station up the road isn't an early opener, so I suggest fueling up soon as you reach Awakino. If they are closed early we can have a long breakfast at the pub. I will ring the servo today to get opening hrs.
So the Awakino petrol station has NEW owners that weekend. Gordon, the old owner normally closes at 10pm, and opens at 6.30am, but isn't sure of the new owners plans. I'm picking the hours will be similar.

Any idea what time the gas station shuts? How far on Saturday to the next gas after Awakino?
Funny I live closest to Awakino and will prob be the last to arrive!!!
Given the fuel tank I have built into my bike we shouldn't run short, as long as you all don't need a fill up.
Tri boy, I'll see you in Owhaga as agreed, see the rest of you at Awakino.
Cheers
Ian

Which weather map did you look at Scott? It's pissing down here!
Typical, 3 weeks of sun and the one weekend i get to go biking and it tips down.
Cloudy but fine here.
Showery tomorrow, but sweet Sat/Sun.

Not a cloud in the sky here in the Naki!
