4-5 hour ride suggestions from Auckland?

I've been going out around Auckland in the weekends when the weather has been nice trying to look for some good roads to have some fun on.
Just wondering if anyone has any good rides that last somewhere around 4-5hours starting from auckland and might be keen to share?

Ride around the Museum approx. 240-300 times... Ride Up and down Queen Street (on a Friday night of course) 12-15 times, or... Take the excellent advice of one of the other posters in this thread

...For what its worth, my vote would be a a leisurely cruise to Whangamata

Try from any point on the southern motorway to the City. Any weekday morning about 8am, that'll soak up a good few hours for ya

    LOL sorry, couldnt resist

On a serious note how about up the west coast through the Waipoua forest, check out Tane Mohutu then flip on over the eastern side for your return home.

    Cheers

What a shit stretch of road. In the wet and wind it has virtually nothing to commend it. I will not be hurrying back for a rerun any time soon.
