    have an early evo elcetraglide

belt s**t itself shortly after i got the bike and left me stranded not a lot of fun

fitted a o ring chain and a scotoiler, end of problems, just top the scotoiler up each oil change

no way would i ever go back to a belt and if i ever bought a late model harley the first thing that would be changed is the belt drive

Not on my FXR, it's pretty simple. If you want to find out simply buy the bike off and me and try for yourself. Mind you, changing a belt isn't that easy but I have all the right tools.

no way I'd ever go back to having a chain, much refer the belt.

Actually only ever had one road bike with a chain and that was my old GN, many many years ago, last bike had a shaft drive.

My son broke a belt on his Buell at 1500 miles. He was being push started at the time as he was also having electrical problems.
Stuffed up our S.I. tour. Happened in Westport as we were leaving for Nelson.
We had to spend an extra night in the pub...bugger!

30,000 km on my 1200S (buy it ya bastids) and looks as good as new.

Only break I've had was a chain on my 1000cc IronHead - and a good mate of 98TLS was there to help me.

He was a Puchs (sp) owner and he helped a HD owner - what does that say for the rest of the 'biking brotherhood' that blasted on past me??

Just noticed for the first time at the Kiwi the new softails with the wide rear tyre. Have you noticed the size of the rear belt , it's smaller than a sportie one. So much for strength in the width. Willy G's empire don't change things like that without the backup that it's going to work.
