Ahhh but is the insurance guys that dick around. I had my bike assessed and ready to be fixed within 1 day (bike shop can do it) but the bloody insurance guys took thier sweet time.

As to the towing mate that may look stable but think about the force generated by an object HANGING like that on the BACK of the truck when cornering. You may (at the least) find yourself with strap marks on the paint job. Reason a car can be towed behind is because they have 2 grounded wheels. I would not have let them tow it like that maybe you should stop in to the bike shop and check to see if all is dandy aye

Too true, took me six weeks to get it all sorted out, same day I bought another bike and got out of plaster. I hope you get yours sorted out quickly. What's your lid/the rest of your gear like? Will you get any of that replaced under insurance?

    State insurance.
My helmet doesn't have a scratch on it, so should be fine I think. Can I get a new jacket under insurance? I haven't specified that I wanted it insured when I arranged cover though.

I think your jacket would come under 'house and contents' insurance.

    Enough

Look, I appreciate ALL comments, but I don't feel all that great, mentally or physically, so since it's already been towed, please don't say how bad it was, and how much damage may have been done. I have certainly learnt, that next time I have a bike towed, to refuse something like that. If anyone has any experience with having a vehicle damaged in tow, and how they got compensated, then I'm all ears.

Since the wheels were tied down, I feel the only damage likely would be strap damage to paint on the plastic part of the tank. This is already out of line, so maybe they will replace it anyway. Hell, maybe the truck got rear ended by a LinFox freight truck, problem solved. The tow guy assured me everything was fine, I'm such a pushover.

Well i hope its all alright. You obviously have photos of the bike so if damage is done you can probably prove it from the photos. That would b the only way i can think of managing to prove something like that.

Yeah, thats what I'm hoping, should I need to prove that. It sucks, except for pics, it's one persons, well businesses word against another person.
