Bodge etc. Bucket racing is cheap motorcycle racing with small cc bikes on small tracks.

Basic classes F4 (100cc 2 stroke, 140cc 4 stroke, no competition models ie no mx engines)
    F5 as above but 50cc 2 strokes or 100cc 4 strokes

There is a link here for AMCC (click here )which is an Auckland club. Has a bit of a prattle about racing over the side.

Go have a look & ask some guys there.

It is a RG50 engine in an RS125 chassis.

Chassis is free to use whatever, engines are restricted. This is pushing the boundaries of the class, but still legal. Quite a bit of work to fit the engine though. I know as I have the same bike (wasn’t racing on Sunday).

Even though the bigger bikes will outpower the 50 on a short track & with a bit of guts the 50 can still win.

F5Dave has one, go on you know you want to. I rent a trailer each event, though might look at buying a small trailer next year.

It was good to meet a few more people, Blakamin, thanks for taking the photo's, Celticno6 good to meet you and your young fella as well.

Shame it was the last official (points) meeting of the year. I heard rumours there is supposed to be another meeting late november, the santa buckets or something. It sounded like every competitor had to tape a santa hat to their helmet.

Dave, I think you came 4th or 5th or something overall for the year. Unless there's another Dave in the top 1/2 dozen.

The Aprilia owner is Hamish Laing, a old mate of mine from way back. We used to play in a band together about 1992. He's a wicked good bass player.

He left our band to start up a new band called Shihad. Then when they wanted to move to Aussie, he had to make the decision between playing rockstar or riding bikes.

He made the right decision. Good man.

It was great to see him on Sunday and catch up again.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

OMG, I never realised, how long was he with them? I've know Yeti for years, ha. The things you don't know about people.

Yeah Mish almost won the GP125 class some years back & has been a punter on the 250s but dogged witha bit of bad luck & injury, hence Steve was riding his bike most of the day. Steve himself was a bit of a handy rider, ex F1 Bears class I think. But that was a while back. Keen man & regaining his speed.
