    Blah Cops that use bribery?

My other half got pulled over for speeding on his soft tail last week. He was doing 147 km on back road on his way to work, (he assures me there was no other traffic on that long stretch of road!!) The cop told him that if he hadnt stopped he would have rammed him off the road. (Asshole) Well any way to cut a long story short, the cop said that if he could give him some dirt on any one he would lower his ticket to 130 km!!. My other half said "F**k mate, I,m a dad with 2 kids, Ive got my lunch on the back and Im on my way to work", the cop told him he would lower the ticket but had his number and would call him if he ever needed a favour!!!!!!!!!. I have a few mates in the piggy force an checked with them on this, according to them he was bloody lucky the ticket was lowered, and they thought maybe the cop had mistaken him for someone else. Im thankful his ticket was lowered but cant believe they can be so slimmy. I dont know any one who would dish out dirt (nark) on any one to get there ticket lowered.

The NZ police force is well regarded as one of the most honest police forces in the world.

Were a blessed nation in many ways, this is one of them
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

But then why kick a guys ass for lowering a ticket? If dad of two been done for the full amount the bike wouldda been impounded for 28 days & he wudda been beating the feet pending losing his licence.

If your friend riding the Harley is a patched gang member there is a possibilty that he could sue the officer for defamation of character. There are only 3 kinds of Harley riders to the best of my knowledge: Accountants, Lawyers and Patched Gang members. Accountants and Lawyers are generally as crooked as a 6 dollar note so it's obvious the officer mistook your friend for one of these. (P/T)

I would just be grateful you got a ticket for 130 kph and avoid further trouble with cops...........the cops sounds odd but perhaps riding a Harley he thought there was a mob connection so was trying to be a detective...........plus he still didn't do you for 147kph when you gave a negative response.

Two things are wrong with this story
    1. a Harley pulling 147kmh.
    2. A cop reducing a ticket.
    I smell a rat.

    1. a Harley pulling 147kmh.

It was on the back of a trailer

    2. A cop reducing a ticket.

He was not sure whether it was the towing vehicle or the Harley that was doing 147kph so knew it may not stick in Court.

    I smell a pratt.
