    From big to small

Did my license on a 500. First bike was a 650 and the last 1150. The smallest bike I've ridden is the XT250X I picked up on the weekend.

It feels more like a bicycle than a motorbike, but what a lot of fun. Fantastic in traffic, reasonably quick from the lights and just so flickable. Perfect for conditions here (Singapore). It's transport with a smile.

Only two problems, the brakes are rubbish (but I hope they'll bed in) and the handbook is in Japanese.

So if your current riding isn't doing much for you have a look at something smaller, you might just like it.

My 1981 TT250 was the most fun bike I ever had - just plain fun. Drum brakes, single cam, no battery, easy peasy. Riding for pleasure, who'da thunk it?

Just delete one letter to `drum brake' and that's me

Lately I've had the opportunity to ride a couple of bigger bikes, and once you get over the phenomonal horsepower they're really rather boring. I like being able to throw my bike through a series of corners, it's where I derive most of my fun. Big heavy sports bikes feel like elephants to me! Lol.

I know what you mean, bgd, when I got back on my bike after a GSXR600 it felt like I'd gone from riding some giant obese Texan lady, to being in bed with a petite, slim little Japanese girl. Winner!
