    Phillip Island who' going?

And more important, where to meet up. I guess Friday night (and again Saturday for Slim and others?) at the bottom of the main street in Cowes (on the wharf bit, usually big screen and band etc there). Suggest we look for Lynda (the Ducati gear should stand out ). I'll be in a Kawasaki jacket as (I guess) will be Doug.

Anyone else on the NZ151 on Thurs 7:45am out of Wgtn?

Yup, I'll be on that flight on Thursday morning (10 sleeps )

I've organised roaming on my phone for that long weekend, so if you'd all like to PM me your cellphone numbers and email addresses, I'll make up a listing of which KB'ers are going and email the contact details to you all before we leave. That'll make it easier for us to all get in contact either on the nights referred to above or at the track.

We'll probably be arriving at the track about lunchtime on the Saturday. What about a meetup at the track on Sunday somewhere?

For those thinking about roaming, check out this attachment from Telecom: how to set it up & how to use it.

Thanks for starting this thread, I was going to do it this AM - HONEST!!

Friday night, around 7.00-7.30pm at the wharf. And I'll have my red Ducati jacket and all the other associated Ducati stuff - there might be more after the Melbourne Duc shops!!

Yep, Hamish and I are on NZ151 Thurs, as is 4skins and partner. You too Marknz!

Marknz: thanks re the phone list. Will PM you with my #. I also have Toddy's (from Te Anau, can't remember his KB name). He's winging his way to Malaysia even as we speak, then is coming down to Melbourne.

    Isn't it exciting!

I've emailed the Ducati shops in Melbourne but haven't had a reply yet. Bit slack considering I said I'd buy up every single Monster accessory that they had in either carbon fibre or titanium!

Hummm, a few on the flight then. How are you all getting from Mel airport to the city? The bus, or shall we all hire one shuttle bus!?

My first stop is Elizabeth Street (again!)

    Kiwizrx,

I'm picking up a hire car but will be waiting at the airport for two mates to arrive from Canberra at 12.30ish. So I'm no help to you there.

Gixxer ( or the rider formerlly known as Gixxer )

PM me your details and I'll get you on the contact list.

    Cheers

I haven't sorted a car yet, but picking up at the airport adds 11% or something to the bill. I'll be busing it into town by the looks of it.

Lynda - where are ya picking up the camper?

Well I was ment to be going but 'shit happens huh' the Cagiva I had the use of to ride down from Brisbane to Melbourn and return has been ridden into a bridge and the enternals of the engine have been damaged so the owner is trying to find another motor....... get this, a casing for the Cagiva is $6500 the same casing from Suzuki is $2500, theres no dif between em (TL1000)
Anyway other shit croped up so so bugger it its off till next year, might try and save for it instead of the old visa trick.
    cheers DD

Mrs says next year... so we can leave bubby and both go... I'd be keen on Isle of man too... If I didn't have to sell a kidney to get there.

    Hi all,

I'm a newcomer to this forum.

I'm an elderly Kiwi living in Melbourne and will be down at the Island for the MotoGP. Am riding down on Wednesday and would love to catch up with some/all of you either Friday night or Sat night.

0412 689 849 is my mobile so give me a call if you want.

I'm staying in Cowes in a house we rent every Superbike or MotoGP and have seen them all since I got here in 1996.

Would offer you my 6 seat van but a Wellington guy who is racing his 125GP bike in the support races has already got it for the week.

Have been in contact with marknz and we're discussing an Isle of Man TT trip next year.

    Kind regards
    Dave Milligan
