Well I enquired about a bike advertised on sellmefree.co.nz . Turns out it's a fairly obvious Nigerian Scam. All details are below, with the email that I sent to the website in question. Just beware and don't get sucked in.
Pics and advert are here: http://www.sellmefree.co.nz/Main/Lis...=mode+matchall
Email that I received:
Hello,
And thank you for your email and interest in buying my motorcycle. The bike is available for $3,200.00 US. It is in very good condition, as you can see from the PICS I sent you. Check your attachments to see the PICS. There are no mechanical problems with the bike, no scratches, never been down. I never raced the bike and was always garaged. The engine run perfect and are only 7137 miles on the bike. I have the title in hand. It's a clear title, no liens on it. Right now I am in United Kingdom, in London, with my work and I'm gone stay here for 2 more years. The bike it is here with me, but there will not be any problems in shipping to you. I brought the bike here and was gone register, but the taxers are to big for me, and the work it will keep me busy, and I will don `t have time to enjoy it. So, the only option I have is to sell the bike. The bike will be shipped from London, United Kingdom. You will not have to pay additional taxes just the price for it. The delivery can take up to 6-7 business days until the bike will arrive to you. You `ll have to be home to sign the papers to receive it. I will insure the bike, so if anything will happen on the way to you it will be covered. The total price you will have to pay with shipping included is $3,200.00 US. So, please check the PICS and get back to me as soon as you can and let me know if we can start the deal.
Thanks!
I then forwarded it to customer service at sell me free.co.nz with the following attached
Hi there, I inquired about an advert on you website for a 2005 CBR600RR which seemed very cheap, turns out it's a foreign seller. Smells a crapload like Nigerian Scammer.
Bike is way too cheap for the condition. It's in a foreign country. They are asking for the price in American dollars. They say it is in the UK but their English is terrible. Please monitor the adverts on your site. People do fall for these scams, and it's tragic.
It's all attached below.
Cheers
