    One happy chick

Well this chick had a 1200 sporty Awsome bike but then went for a ride on a FXRS and fell in love with it. Soooooo sold my sporty and bought it. Oh what a dream. Have put photo on my profile finally. (Had bit of mission trying to download it tho.) Couldnt be happier. Awsome bike and soo much more comfortable than the sporty. Yeehaa, bring on the fine weather. Are there any other chicks out there that wanna get there bikes out (when weather is better)who want to go on the odd blast??????

the FXR was opne of the best bikes ever made by Harley

kileed off by the marketing guru's because the dynaglide looked better

FXR's handle better and handle more power than any other Harley chassis, hang onto it because they don't make any more of them

Agree. My Harley toolman Wally from Wallys HD's rides an FXRS-SP by choice, says Harley have made nothing since that can touch it for sheer rideability, and he can bloody use all of it!

Excellent choice and nice example, well done!

First off, The bike is awesome. Granted I'm biased regarding HD's but to me (and a few others it seems) the FXR Sport was one of the better looking bikes, and it handled better due to higher ground clearance and a different steering angle then any other bikes in the line up (bar one, but we will get to that), Had a shorter rake I believe then the Sporster. It also came stock with dual front disc brakes. I believe it also came with slightly better shocks then the base FXR but that would be redundant be now.

It shared all these features with the Convertible, which was just a sport with a windscreen and saddle bags, I take it by the way you have listed your bike that it started off as a convertible?

Wouldn't it make ya spew, I just looked up a site that compares different HD's, My bike is a 97 Convertible so I matched up against the 93....

    anyhow

    1997 FXDS-CON Horsepower: 56.00 (41.0) @ 5000

    1993 FXRS-CON Horsepower: 67.00 (48.9) @ 5200

Granted its the emission controls that are to blame, But....
