Coming up to corners bikes will pass assuming they can make it even if a car comes around the corner.
I haven't spoken to a rider yet who factors in "what if a bike comes around the corner". I mentioned this a few weeks back and had my first instance of it a week later. Plenty of room to make pass of a car and boat. Move out and accelerate then hard on the brakes and pull in again. F%$# bikes are fast when they come around corners. All four of us had plenty of time to deal with it (me and 3 of them) because I don't go overboard on the room I allow but what a stark reminder.
I often see bikes passing between cars and a double yellow going over a rise. They assume they will have room if a car comes the other way. I guess they don't factor in a bike doing the same thing coming the other way. Seems to me you'll get two bikes clipping each other at 200 kph and being surrounded by cars.
So tell me... you're about to make a pass before a bend. Plenty of room to complete the pass even if a car comes round the corner. Do you ever factor in it being a bike at warp 9?
