    Full License test?

    Hi Everyone,

This has probably been talked about alot already but, can someone give me an idea what the full license test is like? I'm sitting it tomorrow after lunch.

I haven't owned a bike for a year now and I'm borrowing a hyosung gt 250 to sit the test. I'm hoping my riding confidence will all come back in a short space of time.

All I know is that an Officer will follow me and give me an ear piece so he can give me instructions.

Anyway, its no biggy! Any comments appreciated.

Really hope I pass though, it'll feel good riding legally =)

    Did mine yesterday

    Good luck tomorrow.

I passed mine yesterday. Make sure borrowed bike has rego, all lights work etc. He made me drive a set course through a 50km zone with give ways and stop signs. At stop signs I only put my left foot down only and this is not a problem some people say you have to put both down. Remember to indicate your exit on all roundabouts and entry if turning left or right.

I then had to stop while he positioned himself down the road to watch me do a u turn. Good tip is to pull over and stop on the left. Angle the bike so you can see behind you with your head not just mirrors. Be patient only go when you don't have to gun it. He then stopped me to ask if I saw any hazards ie moving vehicles or pedestrians. Had to do a few more left hand turns etc while he watched. Then it was off to open road.

I sat on 90-100km in middle of my lane. He said go what speed you are comfortable. I missed a 70km sign on the way back into town, I was only doing 90km so slowed quickly to 70km. He said afterwards I had him worried for a bit, but it was pissing with rain and was one of those weird zones with no buildings or houses around for a km or so he understood it was easy to miss. Goes to show they are realistic with the testing.

    Success.

When I did mine in Lower Hutt is was cold and pissing down.

My Bike wasn't checked for Rego/wof etc by the instructor.
The test was very basic, I was given the ear piece and she followed me around in her car for a bit, and then it was back to the office.

Never did the hazard Identification and only went onto a 70kph zone for about 2 minutes.

All and all I think I got off very easy, maybe she felt sorry for me in the Rain?

Mine was straightforward. Did everything expected - very thorough. And I passed.
