    My number plate fell off.

Well, it seems while riding on Sunday, I hit the sound barrier on my gpx, did a sonic boom and split my number plate clean in half.. leaving half on my bike and half somewhere in Port Waikato.

Thing is, the part that fell off also had my WOF and Rego on it, how do I go about getting those things back !? I'm pretty sure I can go to LTNZ and get a form for my number plate, but It only just hit me before that it had my wof and rego on it as well.

Also, what's the deal with being pulled over with half a number plate and no wof/rego? (Obviously the only places I'm going to be going are where I need to get all my stuff back).

    Cheers ...

Post shop can print you a new Rego (when I lost mine they did it for free but I think it usually costs $2 or something?? lol!!)...
Warrant... I suspect you will have to just get a new one or go to the place that it was issued?? maybe they can help you with replacement?!... (not sure on the industry like rules etc... but im sure someone here does )

Best of luck getting ya bits back...
I have lost my warrant (had it in my jacket for ages but no idea where it is now, has the old warrant on it still!, but it IS warranted!!) but I think its due again in mid sept so will just get new one n put that on... *cough*... 6 months with a warrant but it not being on my bike... , my rego bracket thing fell off... but bike is registered till next year at least if I get pulled up they can check from cop car that rego is valid. (they cant check warrants however, so im told!)...
Edit: & just give me a ticket for 'failing to display'... Have the bracket at home, just havent screwed it back on

Number plate is about $9 and change, rego and warrant can be re-issued but for the warrant you need to go back to who issued it to you in the first place. Rego can be redone by post office/ltnz for about $2.
    Good luck

Sorry to hijack this thread but....

The TR6C has one of the old gia normous square plates thats cracking to bits just like they all did. Can I get it replaced with a new shaped plate but keep my old rego?

    Cheers

No, I dont think so unfortunatly Paul. I think if you wanted to keep your old rego, you need to get it done the same way as getting a personalised plate

Yup, post shop or any LTNZ place.

Don't quote me on the above. Maybe the LTNZ guys know if there is a cheaper way to get your old rego plate remade or repaired?

$9 is to get a premade plate and to hand yours in dude. If you want the same number, you need to have the plate remade which aint cheap

Replacement plate, with license label - $8.55.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!
