Ivan Mauger - multiple World Speedway champion's gold plated bike. Read the plaque (see photo) for details of how and why his winning bike was gold plated.
At Canterbury Museum if you want to take a gander... I had a looksie when down there last weekend. Here are some piccies and details for those of you out of town...
