Woah woah!! Getting a little exaggerated are we? This is what REALLY happened…

Just as the title says, I was on my way home from work today (roughly a 40 mile ride) and I was stuck in traffic. The road home is a 4 lane highway with a median between. north and south lanes. I was in the left lane (closest to the median) about 4 car lengths behind a semi. This semi was right next to another semi. I was boxed in behind and to the side.

The semi in front of me ran over a piece of lumber ( looked like a 2 foot piece of 2X4 used for a tiedown). That kicked it up and it bounced. I saw the board and had nowhere to go, so I layed into the brakes and braced for the worst. Just then, Mr. heroitto swerved in front of me and took the 2X4 in the windshield of his Ranger.

He pulled over and so did I to make sure he was ok. He said he was aiming for the off-ramp and that board nearly fucking killed him! He was happy though that he missed me as he had just had his passenger door resprayed from an earlier incident.

Needless to say, I beat and robbed the mutha

    *************

If you were in the same situation as me, would you do the same? Huh!

    Yep too right!

Beat him... Robbed him... and beat him some more!

That, I believe IS the American Way and it is expected of you too.

(Folks would be wise to remember that when visiting the states).

4x2's go through windscreens pretty well. I'd be keeping clear myself and hope the cyclist missed it.

Sounds perfect in a non-idea bullet time like world.
So quicker than it takes a bit of 4x2 to go flying from a truck wheel to the motorcyclist behind.......mister land rover goes for the intercept.
But i have removed piles of rubbish off the road before, and i have pulled up next to one bike to tell him there was something wrong - at 160kph

Personally i just think the guy driving the ranger wanted the day off work. Or his other-half was in the passenger side...either way.
