Question Crash knobs for Hyosung. Do they exist?

Hey everyone - I need help.

I had a wee slide over the long weekend on my Hyobag and Scratched up the fairing. Easily fixable as there are no cracks or broken bits.

Does anyone know where I can find crash knobs for hyosung or if there is someone (maybe on kb) who can make custom for a hyosung.

Your help much apprechiated. Many thanks.

Have been investigating these for my GT250R.....

    1. Yup they exist
    2. They are pricey....around $300.00 for a set (I know...Thats what I was quoted, and not from NZ)

    3. To fit, they require a small hole to be cut in the fairing, in order to mount properly...

    4. Have got a contact in Aus, who is trying to source sets at a greatly reduced price...( Waiting on reply )

Can let you know how I get on with prices etc, as soon as I hear something

If your looking at Bike Comms, have a read of this review..

This is the company I've always got my crash bungs from:

    http://www.rg-racing.com/browseBike/...All_Years.aspx

Looking at your bike, at today's exchange rate, they're around $200 + shipping.

They also come with fitting instructions and are very easy to fit.

Yeah, mate - I've used these guys for years when I was in England (they're pretty much industry standard over there and in Europe) and also used them from here for my current bike. All their products are top notch.

Hey mate... Here is a great link. I would be keen on getting something setup with you considering you are in auckland. Would need a laser level and as the post suggests to strap the bike down on a trailer.

I'll have to see how my bike repair goes. If they go well (doesn't cost to much) then I'll probably buy some of the ones from the UK

Wont you still have to attach them to the frame through the fairings? The frame mounts are there but no hole in the fairing... Still need to drill it out; regardless of where you buy them.

Come to Auckland... we will have a crash bung mounting party. HAHA...

Yeah your right, drilling a hole in the fairing is going to be extremely hard. I'll have to mark out where I want the hole to be, and then I'll have to find the drill in the garage. Finding a drill bit the right size will be a huge mission alone. But the hardest part will be the actual drilling itself. From what I've heard, the most important thing is to make sure the drill is turning the correct way.
