I have no idea what the fastest speed I've ever done is.

At speed its best not to take one's eyes off the road. Probably 270+ I would imagine.

The fastest bike I've ridden would probably be the 2007 GSXR1000. That had no trouble hitting 250.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Lost track of the speedometer after the second sonic boom.

That thinking, to keep ya licence in the back pocket isn't it.
280 indicated on a ZX9R, more to go but hitting bugs just about knocking me out, so silent too.

eeerrr...I was on a private track at the time, so perfectly safe and legal.
    I don't do stupid

Can't wait to be on a proper track day though, to see how far I can go in corners

Actual speed debateable...suffice to say, is a good idea to be at least 1kph faster than pursuer at all times
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

    265kmh on 1999 Yamaha R6...

270 on kiwifruits ZX10R... still more to go from the bike, but more than enough for me

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Indicated 299 on the Blade down the back straight at Puke.
Indicated 260ish on the VTR1000F down the back straight at Taupo (but was geared down, so probably about 240)
    Indicated 140 on the XR250.

    Seen a nudge under 290 on a ZX10R.
    Said hello to 200 on a ZX14
Seen an indicated 255 on the ZXR
    270 on a GSX-R11Yoshimura edition
Been off the clock (240 last calibration) to unknown top speed on a 1200 Laverda & was more exilerating than any of the others by far

But that's just straight line speed point to point times though law bending give a better gauge of overall pace
Have done ChCh (Barbadoes St) to Akaroa in a shade over 45mins
Home to Picton in 4.5hrs including stops
Wellington Ferry terminal to Anzac parade Wanganui in 1hr45mins
