    My first big bin

    Hi all,
Its been a while since ive posted any thing on herebut thought i better inform those who dont know that i binned the Fazer on 24/08.
Ive spent the last two weeks in hospital recovering from side swiping a car.
Details: Left work after having a beer, went up the hill, took the cleanest route through the mud left on the road from where the local farmer takes his herd across the road, which left me close to the centre line, as i hit the crest of the hill there was a car about to turn across the road in front of me. We both took evasive action, but i ended up hitting the car just behind the front wheel, bounced along the car, before parting company with the bike and doing my superman impersonation down the road.
I ended up lying on the road, so pulled myself off to the side of the road, the bike ended on the opposite side of the road.
Workmates were soon there as they had heard the collision, and they called the ambulance. Since then there have been a couple of operations, and two boring weeks sitting in waikato hospital.
I have removed a large piece of skin from over my knee and im waiting for some flesh to grow back over the tendons before they can give me a skin graft.
Im currently getting pictures together off several cameras, and phones, and will post these when i can.

Sounds nasty mate, here's hoping for a swift recovery. Those FZ1 are nice bikes, but they can be replaced. Get your knees heeled up and i'm sure you'll be back out there in no time.

Crap mate, glad that you are ok. Hope that you heal back up well and nothing is too permanent.
