    Smile Holiday bike rentals?

My wife and I will be in NZ on the 21 of Sept and would like to rent a sport bike to tour with. We plan on renting in Aukland and traveling to cristchurch
    then flying home
what roads are a must do?
any out of the way sites that we should see places to eat or stay

Any help or ideas are appreciated

    Scott

Fly to Christchurch direct, rent there, do a loop of the South Island if you dont have enough time to do the whole country. Best roads/scenery.

    Enjoy.

Edit: How much time do you have to spend?

Welcome to motorcycling paradise, but a couple of questions before we can give much advice.

How long are you over here for, and how many hours do you wish to ride each day? Are you planning a one way hire or do you have to return the bike to Auckland?

What a pity that you aren't giving yourself much time.

In the short time you do have I would suggest Coromandel, Rotorua - Taupo, over to Taranaki, Surf Highway to Wanganui, Cross back to Masterton, Over the Rimutakas to Wellington, Cross to Picton and take Queen Charlotte Drive to Nelson, via Murchison to Punakaiki then Greymouth, down to Franz Joseph and Fox Glaciers, through Haast Pass to Wanaka and the Crown Range Road to Queenstown, via Cromwell - Lindis Pass to Christchurch.

That gives you about half of each island.
