    Westfield Albany. Moving bikes.

I was at Westfield Albany ,the day before opening last month. There was no parking anywhere ,so had to park way down the road.Saw what I thought was a park, got closer and a little rg150 was in there earlier.I had to go back to my work truck a couple of hours later and walked past where this bike was legally parked and there was sumcun' moving it onto the footpath so he could take the park.He had a stupid grin on his face .I looked at him and said"If that was my bike I'd fucking smack ya."Wiped the grin off his face, but this opens some issues for me.I work for a high profile company that would not like me saying this kind of thing to the Public.Does anyone out think that moving bikes in carparks is acceptable?Do I need Anger Management?

I work in Albany and parking is now a nightmare! Obviously they can't design shit in Auckland without screwing up the car parking and not providing anywhere near enough parks.

I would have told the guy to put it back and likley threatened to call or called the cops.... he has no right to touch it, let alone move it and is unlawfully interfering with the bike. No different to finding someone sitting in your convertible and playing with the knobs. No one should touch another persons bike without permission.

no you don't need anger management, the above is true, you should of called the cops; Now if it had of been my bike and I caught him,I would of ripped his balls out, but If I left my bike unlocked and without a disc lock on it my wife would do it to me.

As a biker I did what I could do and warned this cunt.I had no time to do anything else.I didn't care about this bike and I think I could not have not cared less about it.But, by simply being a member of a forum, like this,I feel I have much greater social responsibilty towards other bikers.

I've moved scooters over (very carefully) at uni, when they hadnt been thoughtful enough to know that other people want to park in the bike park too. Other than that I think you were well within your rights to say what you said.

It's not like you move someones car because it doesnt take up the whole carpark, and if the mall isn't providing a place for motorcycles to park where they aren't parked 'illegally' and aren't taking up more space than they need to then the guys problem is with the Mall Management, not the RG150 that is parked 100% legally.

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

His car was probably still running, jump in it and start driving away. If he starts yelling at you just say you thought he wanted to swap

I would suggest that Toaster is quite correct. IANAL but, if my (old) memory is correct, technically the person could be charged with interfering with a motor vehicle. If convicted, it cost lots, in both money and other ways.

Try getting in to some countries with a conviction on your record

PS: If I'd caught anyone attempting to move the 'Wing, it would be deck em first, then ask what the f**k are you up to.
