Ok heres a question............ whats a bike that is 250cc or less with alot of power to spare that i can thrash without having to worry too much about it blowing up 20ks from home?? Oh and be able to buy without burning a bottmless hole in my pocket.............

No, seriously. Two-strokes are made to be thrashed. With a four-stroke you don't want to be red-lining it everywhere, that's not going to make your engine last very long. But a two-stroke... if you nana it everywhere it'll carbon up and run like shit. Part of the appeal of a two-stroke is their mental screaming thrashing-ness.

Don't taint all two-strokes just because you bought a shit one that ran out of coolant and seized. In fact, if you ran out of coolant on a four-stroke it'd probably seize as well.

You can't get much more bang-for-buck in the 250 world than a RG150. Fastest bike in street-stock, for a start.

Na radiator seemed ok to start off with, it just got screwd because of the lack of coolent I think. When i got the bike firs thing I did was take the seat off and have a look. Replaced battery, spark plug. Battery acid overflow pipe is split. Left it alone as it doesn't really matter. Pipe from the coolent tank was snapped at the end near the tank. i just straightened the edge of the pipe up and put it back on the tank. Im pretty guttered about all this ae

A two stroke only needs three moving parts (although most have more). A four stroke would be toast, from cams, valves, pistons, camchain etc. So it's just as well you didn't blow up a ZXR. If the piston is seized, the bottom end (crank) may be okay, so you are probably up for a piston and new cylinder. And new coolant hose.

Bu these things happen. Two strokes will seize if they don't get enough oil, or cooling, or run too lean for too long, or you took their name in vain. I've killed an RD400 and PE400 in my youth from ignorance of what they required. And an XR600, for my sins.

yeah but 2 strokes are fuckit hand grenades...

and replacement negines for zxr's are only 400-500 bucks...

and are alot harder to blow up than 2 strokes....

save yah money rebuild what you have make sure it dont leak coolant any more and thrash it if thats what you want it for your going to have to rebuild it any way as it will be worthless as it is live and learn yah gota maintain what you ride this you should be awre of after owing off road bikes.
Its a 2 stroke nothing to it to strip and rebuild top end.
