just to get the bike to WOF standards is $1110 bloody hell

    new fairing
    new mirror
    new clutch lever

thats expensive just for a bit of plastic god i hope i can find second hand parts for my beast

You need a new fairing to get a WOF? That doesn't sound right. Have you investigated plastic welding?

You can buy mirrors at Cycletreads for about $30, and I can't imagine a clutch lever being much more than $100 or so, tops.

Still, I guess them's the breaks when one is training uninsured learners on one's bike, etc.

Are you planning on selling the bike immediately, or continuing to ride it for a while?

Mmmm, corned beef with mustard cream sauce...

the bike is sold my flatmate bought it i am now bikeless you could say but ive got LilSels till i buy a new bike the plastic cant be welded as its bent right over onto the digital display. if i try heat and rebend it to weld it, it will snap right off so have to replace that whole piece and its the whole left fairing not just a little piece

altho anyone is welcome to come over and check it out if they can fix it id be really greatful and you will be rewarded for your efforts (box of beer or something)

you are lucky i can cook lol mmmm corned beef tonight!

Can you post a pic of the bend, you might be able to heat it with a hair dryer (panel beaters trick) and use a steel plate to cool/shape it
We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.

this is the bend... my main concern is the black part the fairing bolts onto.........

(also see pic one from the first page it shows how far its bent)

I'm starting to think that the little one is not in a fit state to be riding motorcycles at the moment...
