For me, well I am keen to have a bit of everything if only funds and the mortgage (read wife) would allow. A full on Aprilla/R1 etc if I could actually ride one well enough without killing myself for absolute maniac full on riding. My S for the longer trips practicality and general friendlyness of a Beemer. My little GF250 to thrash the crap out of and a nice big fat custom cruiser for the sunny lazy days around the waterfront cruising for chicks and riding off into mid life crises (just don't tell the wife)

Maybe one day but for now I am happy with what I have got :spudwave:
I'm one of the worlds best riders. I can wheelie, I can stoppie, I can stunt, hell I can get my shoulder down. I could keep up with Rossie if I wanted to race.

Then I go from bed to bike and somehow it all turns to crap.

believe me I'd have a whole collection of bikes if I had unlimited funds, all bikes are cool in my opinion although some are downright ugly, but to know the idiocincrisies of each bike is worth doing. I can't stand it when someone has an unfounded predjudice toward anything, when they haven't had the experience to back it up.
My son for example has a hatred generated towards fords and holdens, he has never owned or driven either type of vehicle, therefore his opinion doesn't count.

I would keep a it for a while just for the experience of riding something different then would sell it to finance several other 2 wheelers and some more gear to match.

    Quite right that man!
If I was to buy a bike that I thought would appeal to the others out there it would be something like a Hyasbusa with twin chrome pipes, tassles and top-box

With my current financial situation I'd sell it to avoid paying another over priced rego and more expensive insurance. If that wasn't an issue, if it was a Harley I'd sell it purely because I could buy a Jap cruiser or sports bike or dual purpose and have some cash left over for other toys. Or maybe I could buy all three. I'd love to have one of each.

Better check insurance prices matey, (they're all the same for rego) insurance on any bike over 1000cc is much the same regardless of make, could be the same for other bike sizes

    Sell it? May be.
    Ride it? For sure!
Spend every second day polishing the chrome? WTFF?
Switch to the dark side? F off.
Bat for both teams? As long as we are talking bikes won't nock what I have not tried.

Would I ever spend $30K plus on a bike full stop?
    Not on this income.

By the way where is the ride it until you sold it or it got stolen on agreed value, then buy a house, or at least a section with the proceeds?

I'd put it down to the most effective marketing

Does a GN125 count? in that case you strip all the crap off it and turn it into a bucket

    Right-O tuff guy.

Bring your Kum-and-suk-me 4hundy down Welly ways some time and see what some of them cruiser riders are capable of when riding with a group of sports bikes.

Nothing better than shutting down some upstart who thinks his XYZ750 SPS RR is the shiznics on a Deuce or Sporty.

Some of the most tallented riders on this very site, aspire to owning a nice cruiser to sit alongside their CBR1000RR or MV or whatever.
