Like the 290kw twin turbo - not too hot on the four-door. Or the pink with white leather interior..

Roll on the re-release of the hot orange A9X...

and dammit - it needs an eight under the bonnet.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Speaking of eight cylinders... good rule of thumb for ANY device: if you can't get the spark-plugs out with a ratchet ,an extension and a spark-plug socket then it's probably too new...

if someone gave me a new harley, id prob swap with someone for a buell.
But as for harleys being absolute shit......this is not the case.
Id never own one, but i respect them all the same.
Plenty of other bikes out there that look, sound, and run worse then them.

    Answer: SMILE

Now that I have got me a genuine cruiser I can finally look at this thread and provide the answer to "what to do with a cruiser"... SMILE, because I'm lovin it. Been up early every day this weekend cruisin. What's surprised me and the lads I've been out with lately is how fast it copes with the twisties. Maybe the Triumph twins have a tad more clearance than some other brands but 223kg with only 61 hp should not handle the Rimutaka hill like this beauty does. When I got it I thought I would have to avoid twisties, but it's the opposite. Pleased I decided to give 'the other side' a try .
And then there's the cheaper running costs, less risk of losing the licence and . . . .I'll think of more reasons soon (prick to clean though, now I know why the sports bike are wrapped in easy to wipe plastic)

That's the way Mark. Saw a nice yellow and black one on the Manawatu gorge a few weeks back. The guy had a grin from ear to ear. Or maybe that was becaused he'd escaped the days house work :sly:. He'd replaced the mufflers with Dunstall replicas. Sounded nice as it pulled away from the lights. Dressed in the standard uniform of course. You know black leathers, black helmet and dark sunnies with no visor .

Have you ever ridden a Harley? If you have then you'll know that there is a very good reason that Harley riders don't wave at other motorcyclists. They can't.... Its just too damn dangerous for them to a hand of the grips for even a second.

I'd sell the Hog, and buy 2 bikes. A modern 600 sport and a crusier.

Sports for fun in the twisties, crusier for weekend's along the waterfront, carrying people etc.

Would enjoy having one as a second bike. Also be handy for friends to ride when they are in this part of the country.
Speed limits are just a suggestion, like pants.

It would have to be ridden, even if only once. Who knows, I might like it! The bottom line though is that they're overpriced, and won't go to the places I like to go. I don't 'hate' Harleys, just think they're grossly over-rated (yes, I have ridden one). I also don't hate cruisers, having once owned a 'pretend' one (Yammy), which was very comfortable and predictable. If someone gave me a Harley I'd probably sell it and buy a bigger Beemer. I'd also look hard at a Triumph.
It's a hard road boy.......so try not to land on it.

Stevo it'll take some serious bike depreciation before a dollar will tempt me to part with the Blade. Lets say I'm just a part time convert for now. A cruiser can only do so much whereas a sports bike CAN be used in cruise mode.
Buts thanks for the generous offer. MD

Aint it wonderful to see what a great job HD has done with the advertising department.
Just read thru most of the thread and most seem to jump to the conclusion that a cruiser would be an HD, probabley why I bought a Guzzi.
EVERY one was either buying a Trumpy or HD at the time and the Guzzi was just different enough for me.
To answer the question, I would ride any cruiser(well, perhaps with in reason).
See, for you sports bike freaks, some of us can not handle the dog shagging a hockey ball posture that you guys manage, or ride fast enough to warrent a sports bike.

I would have a HD if someone gave me one, but I probably woudnt buy one. And if someone gave me one , I think I would look at it and think hmmm if I sold this I could afford a sport/tourer and a trailbike and some new gear and and...
Experience......something you get just after you needed it
