    Swarovski for your bike?

Cars and motorbikes get diamond finish

    (Lifted from ananova.com)

A firm offering cars and motorbikes finished off with real diamonds has proved to be a hit in Austria.

The Tyrol-based family business imbeds the cars with diamonds and Swarowski crystals with a German dermatologist's Porsche the latest to get the real diamond finish.

Crystal firm Swarovski developed the process by mixing real diamonds with a Swarovski crystal mix to create a sparkling cover that has proved to be so successful there is a five year waiting list of people wanting the

    service.

Karl Seelos, head of the seven-man team, said: "We have a lot of contact to various royal families, such as the Saudis. But many of our customers would prefer to remain anonymous."

The company was also unwilling to reveal the prices it charges.

He said: "It takes many hours of careful discussion to plan and decide on all the details. It can take up to half a year to do the best job possible."

The Diamonds would be sweet. The bike'd still be rooted though.

Au contraire, Mr Melon. Imagine the way it would slide with impunity over other surfaces!
Picture the scratches you could leave on other vehicles when lane-splitting (not that any KBers ever actually do that )
Marvel at other motorists crashing into each other when dazzled by the glare!
Think of the resistance to road spooge!
Imagine all the chicks attracted to the BlingBling!
    Wonder at...

    Oh never mind.
    It's just plain silly.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    at Firestormer!

That photo would not do the finish justice at all. I've been in the Swarovski show room & the effect of all those crystals under lights is awesome. I'm sure that the vehicles would look absolutely stunning out under a sunny sky.

    I wouldn't though!

    Mmmmmm..... furry....

This would be lower maintenance, and less likely to get stolen.
But it could get involved in a catfight...

    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.
