    Twilight Rd, Who would win?

Race between a Car and Bike?

    Lets say a Mazda 6 and a VTR250

I was coming along Twilight road on my VTR250 and came up behind a Cobra - fella was really decent and let me past - never saw him again.

Another week I was going along the same piece of road and got chased by a Honda Accord driven by a young hoon and I had to work really hard to make him disapear from my mirrors.

So it depends on the driver and the rider to an extent but in general cars go round corners faster than bikes. To quote Lou Girardin: "Cornering on a bike is ballet but cornering in a car is hip hop."

For those who don't know twilight road here it is on a VTR250

Given equal skill between driver and rider then the car. The only time a bike will win is given a standing start and a long straight. Check out you tube for heaps of examples of this battle of physics jim (but not as we know it) :spudbn:

Not that I would encourage racing on any public road , I smoked my mate in his prelude on the twilight , why did he bother . Ps racing/speeding is wrong on any public road.

i vote for car. those mazda 6 are no slug and if driven properly there is no substitute for grip. Only real way to test is on time trial. Having a bike follow a car and it can be hard to get past.

Nearly all men can stand adversity and hard time, but if you want to test a mans true character, give him power....

I raced my mate in his evo 5 against my GSXR through twilight rd and it was an easy win for me. OK, he was not pushing toooo hard but then again neither was I, I had at least another 30% to give. Good thing about twilight is that you seldom need to break the speed limit for a bit of fun!

You will crash and die, and the the cops will get abuse from your family saying that they shouldn't have been pursuing you at such speed as you only had your restricted and was un-experienced at riding motorcycles.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

I can't say I know anything about Twilight Rd, but on Moonlight Rd I have never been passed by any car yet I've passed everyone I've ever seen, and I've never exceeded the speed limit doing it.
