I saw something similar on a poker run once. I thought we were traveling at a reasonable pace when this Hardly with the biggest ape-hangers I'd ever seen roared past us...frightened the crap out of me! At the next stop I went and found it and it had a humungus Turbo hanging off the side of it!

Jeez, that bike need a rider like 7 feet tall, not only coz of the ape hangers, but the sissy bar and zorsts as well. Good for a laugh though.

Surely he can't ride very far because he'd lose all the feeling in his arms from lack of blood circulating.

That would be awesome fun - just like when ya mates take you out on one of those sea-biscuit things and aren't gentle.
Impractical - but so is a water slide.

I would not like to ride that on a windy day. You'd get blown all over the place.

Stopping suddenly would be interesting. With the leverage that you would get from pushing those bars forward in a sudden stop I reckon he would more than likely bend them or rotate them forward in the risers.

But all power to the bloke, if you can why not.

I'd say "only in America" but I've seen some pretty outreageous bars here as well. It takes all sorts.

Used to be a short guy in Palmy that had something similar with both bars & pegs. Looked ridiculous going down the road. Wonder if you hit a big enough bump would the leverage be enough to throw you off?

They don't call 'em ape-hangers for nothing.

I saw a guy with apehangers almost that tall - he was riding over the Harbour Bridge. Let me tellsya - it was a great safety feature! You could see him approaching from hundreds of metres away, as his flounder-white arms really stood out in the traffic. It was like he was saying, "I give up! Don't shoot!!"
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I reckon it'd be more likely he'd go swinging forward, crush his nuts on the risers, before falling in a heap on the road, followed by the bike toppling slowly over on top of him, crushing his head. (I can see the video now, in my head, and I'm just waiting for the NoobToob version to arrive...)

... I saw one last night... (not that extreme)... myself and Fireball both cracked up laughing... Neither of us short arses would have a shit show of even reaching the 'normal' ape hangers. It was rather amusing... looked quite funny hehe
