New bike! (moved on to a Ducati already)

I am only on a learners but have already committed to buying a Ducati Monster 620 dark! Am I committed or an idiot??? (bearing in mind I can sit the full in Feb 08)

I paid $7995 for a 2005 NZ new model with 8,200kms, I think that is a good price??? Thoughts

The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

While its a great bike and even seems a reasonable price Im somewhat confused why youd purchase a bike at least 5 months before you can ride it.

Just ask manwithav8 how tough it is
