which came with some expensive accessories....

A new Yamaha trenching tool - guaranteed to test the anal sphincter control of an inexperienced adventure rider...

Of course it needed some interesting locations to be run in over...

sheet - I havent even owned it a week yet and its already due for its second oil/filter change...

    cheers

    Yay, go the 21 inch.
I'll bet that bike is a world apart from the XT660 with its small fat wheels.

Nice! So are ya shopping for a big tank & comfy seat for it? Or is it just to tide you over until the new Tenere is on sale?

Very nice. Did the Waikato Yam boys see you right? And what are you doing hooning around my stomping ground, and not popping in for a coffee
How long are you in Hamilhole for?

it is vastly easier on loose surfaces, even when the front lets go its progressive whereas the 660 was like a light switch and its light enough so that I can put a foot down to avert disaster and not feel like someone has sledgehammered my leg...

Yamaha make a 15.5l tank which I am waiting for a price on. I did the Motu with a 5 litre petrol container in my backpack (we went there and back so about 160 km) - not very comfortable. As for the seat - I need to do something as its like sitting on the edge of a breadboard - just not yet sure what - although I only notice it at constant speed on asphalt.

You'd feel right at home on it Clint as it sounds and idles like a traction engine - very ktm 640 ish...

You rode straight past us at about 5pm on Monday between Rotoiti and Rotorua as we traveled to Opotiki. I waved and you ignored me - I will forgive you eventually...

Yes the Waikato Yam boys were great to deal with - I would happily deal with them again. While waiting for the bike to be fixed they gave us $60 and a loaner 07 2007 wr 250 to go to a local mx track for a blast so my son Glen wouldn't get too bored. The service guys were great - unfortunately the battery kept going flat so I spent quite a lot of time dealing with them - turned out some dork in Aussie had put a 60w headlight bulb in instead of a 30w and it was too much for the charging system - so obvious that no one thought to check.. The quality of the aussie installed road kit is total crap and I will redo it all soon - whoever installed it clearly didn't give a shit.

I would have called you for a coffee/ride but had no internet access so couldn't pm you for cellphone number... next time for sure.

    cheers

    Good one

Nice bike, maybe its time to have a go at the 42nd Traverse, I dont think it would suit the bigger bikes, but should be ok for the trail orientated ones

I am not sure when the track opens, and I am not sure what condition it is in?

Dusty Butt 1000km - We knocked the bugger off what next?
