    Talking Wannabe adventurer!

For quite a while, I've been thinking that "one day" I'd like to get myself a more dirt capable bike and try out this adventure riding thing.

    And, yesterday was the day.

Clint640 and I were in Whakatane for a concert on Friday night, so yesterday morning we went to Underwood and Wilkins and I bought myself an '06 Kawasaki Super Sherpa. It's being delivered on Wednesday-ish and I'm very excited.

U+W gave me a pretty good deal, so I'll be able to invest in a bit of bling for it in the next few weeks.

It's a rather different bike to the KR, so I'll be taking some time to get used to the handling on the seal an getting my low speed manoeuvring sorted before having a go at some gravel and not-too-technical off road riding.
And then the scheming about weekend rides over summer can begin in earnest

Dirty pics of the bike and Clint showing me the grubby side of life?

Once I've got used to the handling, and have completed round one of bling (handguards, higher bars, indicators on flexible stalks) I'll be getting it grubby, don't you worry.
    And there will be photos.

    Excellent

Don't forget the most important rule ....... you can not be faster, go longer, ride harder, get up, through, under obstacles etc than Clint!

    Some photos!

I've finally got some photos of the new toy.
Don't think that I only ride it on my driveway, but when we're out and about, I never remember to get photos.
Round one of bling is about to begin. I've got some new (slightly higher) bars and handguards, but need to get a longer clutch cable before I can fit them. And Clint has started to build me a luggage rack (using parts from the luggage rack he started to build for the KR last year )

Nice one Rosie, I'm sure you'll be having a ball on it, and don't just restrict your self to gravel an town riding until you've tried it through some real tight twisties. Be interested in seeing the finished luggage rack as well.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

Get Clint to give it a wash whilst he wears a Bikini, after a particularly muddy adventure ride. Take pics, and post them for us.
