usually its like this... On the phone to mate "ooo nice day, done the chores, shall we go for a blat in 30 mins?"
Should we then text everyone in our phonebook as say the same? get kinda expensive...
I would text you or dangerous if I had either of your cellphone numbers. I once asked for yours, and you said something about someone else texting me if you were going for a ride, and didn't give it to me. That, and as I mentioned earlier, I didn't want to be inviting myself.

If it's like "ooo let's go for a blat in 30 minutes", I figured a PM won't be any use, because you / dangerous won't get it until it's too late anyway.

This is getting silly and off topic. But if you guys don't want me to ride with you, just say so. If that's not the case, then I'm sure we'll work something out in terms of contact.

errr EXACTLY my point... These things are usually spur of the moment, no organisation involved.

who has ever said we dont want you along? I think you are a bit over sensitivea about this DE... we just go with whoever happens to be there, there no dissing some and smooching up to others, thats a young persons game, and we aint... we are olddddddddd

Quite possibly Rashika, I do tend to overthink these things. I'm a bit ratty at the moment because I've been without my bike for several weeks. Sat on Spuds1234's Katana for a bit last night and had a wee cry It also really sucks being without a job too - though I had an interview this morning that will hopefully turn the tables around! Too much to worry about, bah!

I do that with every single person in CK, and it isnt expensive at all. $10 a month. Most people drink and smoke that much in a week easy.

Nope. not really. Both major carriers have txting plans, and most modern phones let you send the same txt to multiple people, and most modern phones you can group certain people in a list.

I guess it comes down to who actually wants to make an effort.

Anyone who wants to go on rides without the fuss and bother of of trying to squeeze their way into someone elses social group can just contact me. CK members bring friends aplenty on non-cruiser bikes. You will have to put up with a.. uh.. rather cruisey ride though.

Well the great thing about these rides is they are regular. We will meet at the same time and the same place every week. No need to worry about all that. Everyone is welcome and everyone knows the ride will be on, so if they want to come they can just turn up.

Relax people. These rides are going to be good (hopefully)

yep ... and thats the difference to those 'spontaneous ' ones, they just happen.

and it does help when you live with your riding buddy, not even a text involved

did I mention that we are OLD as well? I'm sure I did... cant remember, senility getting to me
Old people dont take too well to those new fangled cellphone thingys, too many ferkin buttons

Depending on my roster I will be up for this, so long as you can accept the POS I call a bike in your presence.

BTW I have worked out that I have become a nana of a rider, knee down heck I am lucky it the bike leans over.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
