Amazing how much force a 50km/hr speed differential adds to a "love tap".

It's not a love tap. It is out and out sexual harassment and when it goes wrong the "I didn't intend to hurt her" defence is a bit weak in the face of the out and out stupidity you are proposing and the physical mayhem that can result.

I have no sense of humour about this. It is right up there with putting kids in a drier and turning it on.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Yea but the law of physics makes a small tap turn dangerous if the persons thrown off balance etc.

Not my type of humour either

yea your justs a cock wake up on the other side of your bed next time, yes you are taking things quite serious and No 50 km/h isn't a good idea. Besides this is a hypothetical situation as no one has ever done it or they are to scared to post b'cos your just Angry dude. Most people ride bikes for fun and I assumed the biking forums would also be fun but I now see that there are a lot of ppl in here that are a little to serious, you my friend need to get back to your childhood. I'm sure I could relate everything I read to a bad situation I have experienced instead of seeing it as just a little conversation starter, believe me I have seen some f*cked up sh*t in my time. By the way Kids in a dryer vs tapping a butt lightly... good comparison.

If you can't present a cogent argument without resorting to personal attacks, then I suggest it is you who perhaps needs to "wake up on the other side of your bed next time".

You may have outlined what you believe to be a "hypothetical situation". Jim2 has outlined an analagous real situation and its tragic consequences. It you find that threatening and somehow contrary to your idea of what constitutes "fun", then that is your problem, not his. Many things in life are just good fun, until somebody loses an eye.

Any anger here is yours, not Jim2's.

these forums are great fun... until someone touches a sore point. suggesting "hitting dat" when on a motorbike is foolishness. as jim has rightly pointed out... it can have serious or fatal consequences. btw... your mind and eyes should be focused on the road, the cars and everything that could kill you, rather than the pound of flesh on the side of the road.

jim has a great, well respected reputation on here, and i would gladly ride with him any day. respect is earned, not a god given right.

Yeh did it once at about 5K to a close friend of mine then rode off.
    Good times.
She got me back real good though. Ever had your leg rubbed the right way on a bus. Lets just say its quite hard to disguise things when you get off.

    Obviously I am just a sh*t person

Excuse me for attempting alittle fun thinking... God forbid Jim dropped the attitude for a second.

sunhuntin thanks for the riding tips I'll take that into consideration... no wait I was obviously being reckless and should never take my eyes off the road/car infront of me because I'm going to cause a 5 car nose to tail crash.

some ppl had no imagination as a child. Too much Tv and playstation I see.

actually, light, my imagination was great, and still is. but only where its not dangerous. i dont notice pedestrians when riding, unless they are crossing the road. too much other, more important things to keep an eye on.

as said... its all fun and games till someone loses an eye... or their life.

Wow. Can we say, "politically correct, much".

A young lad comments that when riding he sometimes sees a shapely bum and thinks he'd like to spank it. Oh, so wicked. Obviously a major sexual deviant.

Made a specific point of saying that he'd never actually do it. Just think about it.

And is promptly told that he's an 'idiot". That he's up there with people who put babies in dryers. Guilty of sexual harrasment (for thinking FFS !) and that he enjoys hurting other people for a joke!

(Oh, and a "bring back the cane person", whatever that means)

Such Victorian prurience fits ill with a site where a recent thread was entirely focused (in every way) on peoples bums!

This is the 21st centruy , not the 19th . And, shock and horror though it may be to some here, but every male motorcyclist (except Maurice of course but he has his little ways also) will at some time (for some of us, lots of times), notice a shapely derriere or an enticing cleavage and think "Oh, I'd like to fondle/pat/spank/screw that". As indeed do ALL men . It's called sexuality, face up to it and move on. Or go see a good counsellor.

As a novice rider, he wouldn't realise how dangerous an apparently innocuous contact with a non moving object can be. As Mr Kev pointed out. Not wise to smack, grab, kick anything while riding, the physics is different to what you'd think. But that doesn't make him a sexual deviant, and pointing out the dangers didn't need, or warrant , the personal abuse. Educate, don't berate.

I do keep a good awareness of everything around me when riding, side roads, pedestrians everything, you never know when someone might step out infront of you or a car from a side street. I would rather see it first and evade the problem all together than not no it is there and be surprised by it. This case and scenario the Good looking lady and her Man were in the middle of the road with traffic on both sides of them travelling at about 10-20 km/h not a very dangerous situation unless they step into something. Which is another reason to not touch someone because they may jump into problems from the shock of it.

I just don't understand why someone took such a SERIOUS view of something that was a question and mearly a thought. Not a action which I did as I know its dangerous and stupid hense the question if anyone has done this.

Crucifying someone for a thought is just pathetic which Jim showed. He didn't just say "hell no thats a bad Idea b'cos..." instead calls me a idiot for thinking it and tells me to "Wind your hormones in before you ruin your life and the lives of others". He's the one jumping to conclusions and making a BIG deal out of something that didn't take place except to his friend who got baddly hurt through it.

But hell lets all take it a little to serious b'cos a situation that didn't happen is terrible and that poor girl is now in a coma in Auck hospital on life support. Ohh and her dog got kicked too
